Massive Discounts on All Sharjah Municipality Violations!
On September 5, 2023, The Sharjah Executive Council led by the Crown Prince issued a decree to offer a 50% massive discount on fines for all sorts of municipal violations in the Emirate. Residents can avail of a discount on the total value of the penalties. The offer is valid for a period of 90 days only. The decision comes as part of the many developments and plans designed for the betterment and well-being of the general public residing in the Emirate.
Eligibility and Conditions for Sharjah Municipality Fines Discount
Who is eligible for the discount? If you are not sure whether you stand eligible for the discount on municipal violations, here is a checklist to help you out!
- A resident of Sharjah must have committed the violation. Residents of other Emirates cannot claim the discount.
- The fine should be related to a municipal violation. Traffic offenses and parking violations also come under the umbrella of municipality fines.
- The fine should have been incurred before 1st September 2023.
- All fines committed after the 5th of September, and before the 1st of January, 2023 are not eligible for a discount.
- To avail of the discount, the fine must be paid within 90 days from the date of announcement (i.e. 5th of September, 2023).
- All businesses and individuals residing in Sharjah with a valid residency/business/work visa are eligible for the discount.
How to Avail the Sharjah Fines’ Discount?
To avail of the discount and pay the new reduced fine, you can follow the steps mentioned below:
- Log on to the official Sharjah Municipality Website.
- Browse through the categories and click on “Pay Vehicles Fine”
- Tap on the “Enter the Service” tab.
- Provide your vehicle’s plate number and hit the search button to look for the issued fines.
- The website will display all types of fines issued under your name.
- You will be able to see the discounted fines if you choose to pay within the valid period mentioned in the announcement – don’t miss it!
- Pay the amount using a valid debit/credit card and save yourself a good deal of money.
