This policy explains what personal data MoneySaverWorld (“MSW”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use moneysaverworld.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other laws that apply.
1. Who we are
MoneySaverWorld is based in the United Arab Emirates and is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at contact@moneysaverworld.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Messages you send us, for example by email: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and, if you provide it, your name and interests.
- Enquiry and lead forms: when you ask to be contacted by a partner, such as a mortgage broker, bank or insurer, the details you enter, which may include your name, email, phone number, income range, property budget and other details needed for the enquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as pages visited, time on page, device, browser and approximate location. This uses cookies.
- Security and performance: our hosting, caching and security tools process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site fast and protect it from attacks.
- Embedded content: some pages show content from other services, such as our Instagram feed. Those services may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
Our calculators
When you use our calculators, we store the numbers you enter, such as salary, budget or deposit amounts, however it remains anonymous. We use this information to improve our tools and to carry out research on how UAE residents plan their finances. Any research we publish uses only combined, anonymous figures, never individual entries.
3. Why we use your data
- To reply to your messages and correction reports.
- To send our newsletter, if you’ve signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To pass your enquiry to the partner you asked to hear from.
- To understand how the site is used and improve our content and tools.
- To keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.
We rely on your consent (for example for newsletters, enquiry forms and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and our legal obligations.
4. Who we share your data with
- Partners you ask to contact you. When you submit an enquiry or lead form, we share the details you submit with the partner or partners named on that form, such as a mortgage broker, bank or insurance provider, so they can contact you about your enquiry. We may be paid for this introduction. That partner then handles your data under its own privacy policy. We only share your details when you submit a form and agree to this.
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, analytics, email and security providers. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We don’t sell your personal data to data brokers.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers, such as Google, store data outside the UAE. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
6. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it: messages for up to two years, newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and enquiry details for up to 12 months after we pass them on, unless the law requires longer. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
7. Your rights
Subject to the PDPL and other applicable laws, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that’s wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- stop or restrict how we use your data, or object to it;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To make a request, email contact@moneysaverworld.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We’ll reply within 30 days. If we’ve shared your enquiry with a partner, we’ll tell you who, so you can also contact them directly.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work and keep it secure, and analytics cookies to understand how it’s used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
9. Children
Our site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site and the law change. We’ll post the new version here with an updated date.
