The Talabat ADCB Credit Card offers 35% cashback on Talabat orders, no annual fee, and up to AED 750 in welcome bonus. On paper, it is one of the most generous co-branded cards in the UAE. In practice, there are conditions that determine whether the card actually saves you money or just looks good in the app. This review covers both.

How the 35% cashback actually works
The headline number is 35% back on Talabat orders, but there are three conditions that change the maths significantly.
Condition 1: only the first 10 orders per month. Orders 11 and beyond in the same month earn 1.25% instead of 35%. If you order from Talabat daily, more than two thirds of your orders earn the lower rate.
Condition 2: capped at AED 35 per order. This means the 35% rate effectively applies on the first AED 100 of each order. If your average order is AED 150, you are getting 23% back, not 35%. If your average order is AED 200, you are getting 17.5% back.
Condition 3: requires AED 2,500 monthly spend. Effective from June 2025, you must spend at least AED 2,500 per month on the card across all purchases (not just Talabat) to qualify for the 35% rate. If you spend less than AED 2,500 in any given month, all your Talabat orders for that month earn 1.25% instead. This condition was not part of the original card launch and many existing reviews have not updated to reflect it.
Realistic monthly savings: if you order from Talabat 10 times per month with an average order of AED 80 and spend at least AED 2,500 on the card overall, you earn AED 280 per month in Talabat credit (AED 28 per order x 10). Over a year, that is AED 3,360 in Talabat credit from a card with no annual fee. That is genuine value if you were going to order from Talabat anyway.
Welcome bonus: up to AED 750
New ADCB customers who apply through digital channels (Talabat app, ADCB website, ADCB Mobile Banking, or Hayyak app) receive up to AED 750 in Talabat credit. Existing ADCB credit card holders receive AED 200.
The bonus requires spending AED 5,000 within 45 days of card issuance. It is credited to your Talabat Pay account within 90 days after that. If you cancel the card and reapply later, you are not eligible for the bonus again.
Important: AED 5,000 in 45 days is roughly AED 3,300 per month. If you do not naturally spend that amount on a credit card, do not force spending just to earn the welcome bonus. AED 750 in Talabat credit is not worth going into credit card debt over.
Free delivery and Talabat pro
The card comes with a free Talabat pro subscription, which normally costs AED 19.99 per month. This gives you unlimited free delivery on orders from Talabat pro restaurants (AED 50 minimum), grocery stores (AED 100 minimum), pharmacies, and flower shops.
If you order from Talabat twice a week, the delivery fee savings alone are worth AED 40 to AED 80 per month, which adds up to AED 480 to AED 960 per year. Combined with the Talabat pro subscription fee you no longer pay (AED 240 per year), this is a significant benefit even before counting the cashback.
The Talabat pro subscription also includes a Bolt discount of 10% off 10 rides per month, which is a useful secondary perk for regular ride hailing users.
Cashback on non Talabat spending
The card earns 1.25% back as Talabat credit on all other domestic and international retail purchases. This is average for a no fee card but not exceptional. If you spend AED 5,000 per month outside of Talabat, you earn AED 62.50 per month in additional Talabat credit.
Certain categories earn only 0.35%: fuel, education, government services, telecom, supermarkets, insurance, and real estate. These are common high spend categories for UAE residents, so your effective rate may be lower than 1.25% depending on your spending pattern.
All cashback is credited as Talabat credit, not cash. You can only use it to pay for Talabat orders. If you stop using Talabat, your accumulated credit becomes worthless.
Cinema and lifestyle benefits
Cardholders get buy one get one free at Reel Cinemas, up to 2 free tickets per month. At an average ticket price of AED 50, this saves AED 100 per month if you use it. For couples or families who go to the cinema regularly, this is a strong perk that adds up to AED 1,200 per year.
How to apply
You can apply through the Talabat app, the ADCB website, the ADCB Mobile Banking app, or the Hayyak app. You can also visit any ADCB branch in person.
Documents needed: Emirates ID, valid passport, salary certificate (minimum AED 5,000 monthly salary).
Apply through a digital channel rather than in branch if you want the full AED 750 welcome bonus. Branch applications may not qualify for the higher bonus amount.
Is it worth getting?
→ Worth it if: you order from Talabat at least 8 to 10 times per month, spend AED 2,500+ on the card monthly, and are comfortable receiving all cashback as Talabat credit rather than cash
→ Not worth it if: you order from Talabat less than 4 times per month, spend under AED 2,500 monthly on the card (you will only earn 1.25% on everything), or prefer cashback you can use anywhere
The Talabat ADCB card is best used as a secondary card alongside a general cashback card like the Mashreq Cashback. Use the Talabat card exclusively for Talabat orders to maximise the 35% rate, and use your primary cashback card for everything else. This two card approach gives you 35% on food delivery and 5% on dining from your main card, which is a significantly better combination than using either card alone.
Is the Talabat credit card really free?
Yes. There is no annual fee for the life of the card. The only costs are any interest charges if you do not pay your balance in full each month, and standard credit card fees like late payment charges and foreign exchange margins.
Can I use the cashback outside of Talabat?
No. All cashback is credited as Talabat credit to your Talabat Pay wallet. It can only be used to pay for orders on the Talabat platform. It cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to a bank account.
What happens if I spend less than AED 2,500 per month?
If your total monthly card spend across all purchases falls below AED 2,500, you lose the 35% Talabat cashback rate for that month. All Talabat orders for that month will earn 1.25% instead. This condition was introduced in June 2025.
Is there an Islamic version of the Talabat card?
Yes. The Talabat ADCB Islamic Card offers identical benefits and operates on a Shariah compliant financing structure. Apply through the same channels.
Can I get the welcome bonus if I already have an ADCB credit card?
Yes, but the amount is lower. Existing ADCB credit card holders receive AED 200 instead of AED 750. The AED 5,000 minimum spend within 45 days requirement still applies.
