A standard 2D ticket at VOX or Reel now runs close to AED 50, before popcorn. The good news is that almost every major UAE bank still bundles some kind of cinema discount into its credit cards, buy-one-get-one tickets, straight percentage off, or food and drinks upgrades, and none of it requires switching banks or paying for a premium card just for the movies. Card terms shift year to year though, so this covers what’s actually running now and how to double check before you book.
VOX Cinemas card offers
| Bank | Offer | Card needed |
|---|---|---|
| HSBC | Buy one ticket, get one free, confirmed through 31 December 2026 | Black, Premier, Advance, Platinum or Cashback credit cards |
| Mashreq | Flat 50% off, booked via the VOX app or website | Solitaire, Platinum Elite, or Al Islami Platinum/Solitaire |
| RAKBANK | Flat 50% off tickets | World credit card |
| Standard Chartered | 50% off, Sundays only, booked online | Manhattan Platinum credit card |
| Emirates Islamic | Up to 4 buy-one-get-one tickets per month | Skywards Black, minimum AED 5,000 monthly spend |
| Citibank | Buy one ticket, get one free | Citibank credit card |
FAB cardholders get 20% off food and drink combos at the VOX candy bar rather than a ticket discount, worth knowing if you were expecting the ticket price itself to drop.
Reel Cinemas card offers
| Bank | Offer | Card needed |
|---|---|---|
| UAB | Buy one, get one free, confirmed through 31 December 2026 | Any UAB Mastercard credit card |
| Liv | Buy one, get one free, up to 6 tickets a month on World, 4 on Platinum | Liv World or Platinum credit card |
| Emirates NBD | One free ticket per purchase, up to 6 tickets (3 free) a month | Emirates NBD credit card |
| Arab Bank | Buy one, get one free, plus 20% off food and drinks | Arab Bank Visa card |
| Mashreq | Up to 50% off tickets, plus 20% off food and drinks on a minimum AED 20 spend | Mashreq credit card |
Novo Cinemas card offers
Smaller lineup, but still worth checking if Novo is your local cinema. UAB Mastercard credit cards carry the same buy-one-get-one deal as at Reel. Mbank ties discounted tickets to card tier: Titanium debit and Platinum credit cardholders get 2 discounted tickets a month, Platinum debit and World Elite credit cardholders get 4.
The Entertainer app, if you’d rather not tie it to one bank
If switching cards isn’t worth it just for cinema discounts, the Entertainer app bundles buy-one-get-one cinema offers into a wider membership covering restaurants, attractions and leisure across the country. The UAE membership runs AED 395 for the year, or AED 545 for the GCC-wide version, both valid through 30 December 2026. It only pays off if you’ll genuinely use the restaurant and attraction offers too, since the membership fee alone costs more than a handful of BOGO tickets would save on their own.
Getting the most out of any of these
Book directly through the cinema’s own app or website rather than a third-party ticketing site: most bank offers only apply when the booking runs through VOX, Reel or Novo’s official channels. Check the minimum spend and monthly ticket caps before assuming an offer applies, several of the deals above (Emirates Islamic, Mashreq at Reel) require a minimum monthly card spend to unlock. And if you’re weighing which UAE credit card to actually apply for, the best credit cards in the UAE looks at the wider picture beyond just cinema perks.
