If you’re paid on a Ratibi card, checking your balance is one of the most basic parts of managing your money and banking in the UAE, and there are four quick ways to do it — by SMS, through the app, online, or at an ATM.
SMS balance check
The SMS salary check works without internet and without downloading anything. Your mobile number must be registered with your Ratibi card for this to work.
- Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Type BAL and send it to 6667.
- You will receive a reply SMS with your current Ratibi card balance within a few seconds.
Cost: approximately AED 0.30 per SMS. Standard network charges apply. If you do not receive a reply within two minutes, confirm that your mobile number is registered with your card by calling 600 525 500.
Magnati online portal
The fastest online salary check method. No account registration or login is needed. Works on any phone, tablet, or computer with a browser.
- Open any browser and go to ppc.magnati.com/ppc-inquiry.
- Enter the last two digits of your Ratibi card number.
- Enter your 13-digit Card ID. This is printed on the back of your card, below the card number.
- Complete the captcha verification.
- Click Go. Your balance and recent transactions appear immediately.
Free. No login required. On salary days the portal can be slow due to high traffic. If the page does not load, try again after a few minutes or use the SMS method instead.
If you are not sure where to find your Card ID, it is the 13-digit number printed on the back of the card, separate from the 16-digit card number on the front.
MyPay MyCard app
The official Magnati app for Ratibi prepaid cardholders. Shows balance, full transaction history, and card management options.
- Download MyPay MyCard from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
- Register using your 16-digit Ratibi card number and Emirates ID.
- Set up your PIN or use fingerprint or face ID login.
- Your balance appears on the home screen after each login.
Free. The app also shows your full transaction history and lets you block the card if lost or stolen. This is the most useful method if you want to track your spending rather than just check your balance.
Phone banking
The phone method is useful when you do not have internet access and want to hear your balance confirmed rather than reading it from a screen.
- Call 600 525 500 from any UAE phone.
- Select your preferred language from the menu.
- Enter your 16-digit Ratibi card number when prompted.
- Follow the automated menu to hear your current balance.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Standard call rates apply. If you need to speak with a customer service agent rather than the automated system, stay on the line after the balance announcement and select the option to speak to a representative.
ATM balance check
Any ATM in the UAE that accepts Visa cards works for a Ratibi card balance check.
- Insert your Ratibi card into the ATM.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN.
- Select Balance Inquiry from the menu.
- Your balance appears on the screen. Some ATMs also offer a printed receipt.
Free at FAB ATMs. Other UAE bank ATMs may charge AED 1 to AED 2 per inquiry. The balance shown is your available balance at that moment. If your salary was credited earlier the same day it will be reflected immediately.
Which app to use: MyPay MyCard vs FAB Mobile vs Payit
This is one of the most common sources of confusion for Ratibi cardholders. The three apps serve different card types.
| App | For who | Works with Ratibi |
|---|---|---|
| MyPay MyCard (Magnati) | Ratibi prepaid salary card holders | Yes, this is the correct app |
| FAB Mobile | FAB bank account holders | No, unless you also have a FAB bank account |
| Payit | FAB digital wallet users | Some Ratibi cards are linked to Payit — check with your employer |
If you try to log into FAB Mobile with your Ratibi card number and it does not work, you are using the wrong app. Download MyPay MyCard instead.
What to do if your salary has not arrived
If your expected salary date has passed and your Ratibi card shows no new credit, check your balance using two different methods to confirm the balance is genuinely unchanged and not a display error. Then contact your employer’s payroll department rather than FAB directly, as the salary payment instruction comes from your employer not the bank. If your employer confirms the salary was sent and it has not appeared after 24 hours, call FAB Ratibi support on 600 525 500 with your card number and Emirates ID ready.
Salary credits typically appear on the card by end of business on the payment date. Credits processed after banking hours on a working day may appear the following morning.
Checking your Ratibi balance is just one small piece of managing money in the UAE, and the wider picture of opening accounts, comparing banks, and finding the best savings rates is on the UAE bank accounts page.
