Salt Lake
If your social media handles have been spammed with spectacular images of small greenish turquoise lakes, you must be like the rest of us wondering about its story and origin. This mystical lake is located in Abu Dhabi far away from the main town and is known to the masses as Salt lake. To be more precise, the lakes to visit can be found in the Al Wathba area on the southern side of the Capital. You would need to go off-road to access the lake and we advise you to plan a trip using a 4-wheeler. There are two lakes to visit along the side of the road. The banks of the lakes are blanketed with crystal-white salt crusts. Because of the high salt concentration and mineral deposits in this particular coastal region, the water looks emerald green and creates a spell bounding sight. Although there are no amenities around the spot, you can still spend time along the bank soaking in natural magnificence and snapping instagrammable photos for your social media handles.

Al Warsan Lake
