SHARE Rewards (2026): How to Earn Points and What They’re Worth

Last verified:

If you shop at Carrefour, watch films at VOX or spend weekends at Mall of the Emirates or City Centre, you are probably already eligible for SHARE points. SHARE is Majid Al Futtaim’s rewards programme, and it quietly covers a big share of everyday spending in the UAE. Used well, it can return 3% to 8% on that spending. Used badly, points expire or get converted at a loss. Here is how SHARE works, every way to earn points, the best SHARE credit cards and the conversions worth avoiding.

Key takeaways

  • 10 SHARE points = AED 1. You can spend from just 10 points, and points expire after 24 months.
  • Earn by scanning your SHARE ID, shopping online with your SHARE login, or scanning mall receipts in the app.
  • VOX Cinemas pays 3% back, while most mall stores pay just 0.25%.
  • SHARE credit cards from FAB, Emirates NBD and ADIB earn up to 8% back at Majid Al Futtaim brands, and two are free for life.
  • Linking SHARE to Urban Company earns up to 10% on your first home services booking.
  • Converting SHARE to Accor or Smiles points and back usually loses value.

What is SHARE?

SHARE is the loyalty programme of Majid Al Futtaim, the group behind Carrefour, VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates, the City Centre malls, Ski Dubai and Magic Planet. It also covers lifestyle brands that Majid Al Futtaim runs in the region, such as LEGO, Crate and Barrel, CB2, AllSaints, Lululemon and THAT, plus restaurants in several hotels connected to its malls.

There is no physical card. Everything runs through the SHARE app, where you show your SHARE ID at the till, scan receipts and pay with points. Sign up as a full member rather than staying a guest, since guest points cannot be redeemed.

How much are SHARE points worth?

  • Value: 10 points = AED 1, so each point is worth 10 fils.
  • Minimum spend: 10 points (AED 1).
  • Expiry: points expire 24 months after you earn them.
  • Cash: points cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Returns: if you return an item, the points you earned on it are removed.

All the ways to earn SHARE points

Majid Al Futtaim lists three core ways to earn on its official earning page: scanning your SHARE ID, logging in online and submitting receipts. Partners, cards and tiers add more on top.

1. Scan your SHARE ID in store

Open the app and show your SHARE ID before you pay at Carrefour, VOX, Magic Planet and participating lifestyle brands. Some Carrefour purchases do not earn, including gift cards and Nol and Salik top-ups.

2. Shop online with your SHARE login

Carrefour, VOX, Ski Dubai, LEGO and Crate and Barrel let you sign in with your SHARE account, so online orders earn automatically.

3. Scan mall receipts

At stores in Majid Al Futtaim malls that are not directly linked to SHARE, take a photo of the full receipt in the app. Include the card slip if you can, and use the long receipt option for multiple photos. Points usually land within 14 days. Carrefour and VOX receipts cannot be submitted this way, so scan your ID at the till instead. The earn rate here is low (0.25%), but it adds up on bigger purchases like electronics or furniture.

4. Link SHARE to Urban Company

This is one of the highest earn rates in the programme. Link your accounts in the SHARE app before booking, and you earn up to 10% back on your first Urban Company booking in the UAE and up to 1.5% on later ones, whether it is cleaning, a massage or an AC service.

5. Join a SHARE Family Group

A family head can invite up to nine members aged over 10. Members can send points to the head’s account or gift points to each other, which makes it much easier to reach useful balances before points expire.

Best SHARE credit cards in the UAE

If you spend a lot at Carrefour, the malls or VOX, a SHARE co-branded card is the fastest way to build points. Three banks issue them: FAB, Emirates NBD and ADIB (Islamic). Here is how all eight compare.

FAB SHARE cards

FAB’s three SHARE cards all include 2-for-1 standard VOX tickets: once a month on Platinum and up to four times a month on Infinite. Watch the monthly caps: Platinum earns on up to AED 2,500 of spend a month, Signature up to 50,000 points a month and Infinite up to AED 10,000 of spend. Utilities, fuel and non-Carrefour supermarkets earn only 0.15%. The Signature and Infinite cards come with welcome bonuses of 5,000 and 10,000 points, and Infinite adds lounge access for you and a guest.

Emirates NBD SHARE cards

Emirates NBD’s Platinum and Signature cards are both free for life, which makes the SHARE Visa Signature one of the best-value cards in the programme: 6% at Majid Al Futtaim with no annual fee, 5,000 bonus points (AED 500) when you spend AED 25,000 in the first three months, airport lounge access for the cardholder and roadside assistance. The Platinum card earns 4% with no welcome bonus. The Infinite card earns 8% and adds lounge access for you and a guest, golf, valet parking and roadside assistance. It has an AED 1,500 joining fee, which is reversed along with 10,000 bonus points if you spend AED 40,000 in the first three months, and an AED 1,500 annual fee from year two. All three include buy-one-get-one-free VOX tickets.

ADIB SHARE Visa cards (Islamic)

ADIB’s Sharia-compliant cards earn a little less at Majid Al Futtaim but more on everyday spend elsewhere. The Infinite card earns 6% at Majid Al Futtaim and 2% on other local and international spend, with a 10,000-point welcome bonus, unlimited lounge access with a guest and valet parking. Its AED 999 fee is waived from year two with qualifying spend. The Platinum card earns 3% and 1.25%, with a 2,000-point welcome bonus and an AED 199 fee that is also waived from year two with qualifying spend. Both cards are open from a minimum salary of AED 5,000, which makes the ADIB SHARE Visa Infinite the cheapest way to get 6% plus lounge access if you earn under AED 12,000.

Which SHARE card should you choose?

  • Best overall: Emirates NBD SHARE Visa Signature, for 6% with no annual fee (AED 12,000 salary).
  • Best entry-level card: FAB SHARE Platinum or Emirates NBD SHARE Visa Platinum, both free with 4% back (AED 5,000 salary).
  • Best for high earners: FAB SHARE Infinite, for 8% at a lower fee and salary requirement than the Emirates NBD Infinite.
  • Best Islamic option: ADIB SHARE Visa Infinite, especially if you also spend a lot outside Majid Al Futtaim.

Is a SHARE card worth it? Only if a big part of your spending happens at Majid Al Futtaim brands. If most of your spending is elsewhere, one of the best cashback credit cards in the UAE will usually earn more, and the cash is more flexible than points.

SHARE tiers: Classic, Plus and VIP

Tiers are based on Tier Points, which you earn at 1 per AED 1 of eligible spend at Majid Al Futtaim brands and mall stores.

TierTier Points in 12 monthsMain benefit
Classic0–99,999Classic offers at participating stores and restaurants
Plus100,000–249,999Select benefits and about 25% extra points
VIP250,000+Select benefits and 50% extra points

In practice, Plus needs around AED 100,000 of spend a year, so most households stay on Classic. Hotel stays and partner spending do not count towards your tier.

How to spend SHARE points

  • Pay in store: use the SHARE Wallet at Majid Al Futtaim brands and participating stores. You can combine points with cash or card.
  • VOX Cinemas: apply points at checkout online or show your SHARE ID for snacks in the cinema. Points cannot be used on GOLD or THEATRE packages or on discounted bank-offer tickets.
  • Carrefour: link SHARE to MyCLUB and transfer points to use them at checkout.
  • Mall gift cards: at other mall stores, exchange points for a mall gift card at a Customer Service Desk.
  • Convert to partners: move points to Smiles, Etihad Guest or Accor (see below).

Paying entirely with points does not earn new points, but if you split the bill, you still earn on the part you pay by cash or card.

Converting SHARE points: which transfers are worth it?

PartnerFrom SHARETo SHARE
Smiles (e&)1 SHARE = 6 Smiles points15 Smiles = 1 SHARE point
Etihad Guest1 SHARE = 1.5 miles (min. 500 points)5 miles = 1 SHARE point (min. 5,000 miles)
Accor ALL2,000 SHARE = 1,000 ALL pointsCurrently suspended

A few things worth knowing before you convert:

  • Round trips lose money. Converting 1,000 SHARE points to Smiles gives you 6,000 Smiles points, but converting those back gives you only 400 SHARE points. Only convert when you plan to spend on the other side.
  • Accor is poor value. 2,000 SHARE points (AED 200) become 1,000 ALL points, worth about €20 off a hotel stay, which is less than half the value.
  • Etihad Guest is for topping up. Converting makes sense when you are a few thousand miles short of a flight reward, not as a regular habit.

Conversion rates can change, so check the current rate in the SHARE app before transferring.

Tips to get the most from SHARE

  1. Always scan at Carrefour. Groceries are the biggest regular spend for most families, and combining points with weekly promotions is one of the easiest ways to save money on groceries in the UAE.
  2. Book home services through Urban Company after linking SHARE. The first booking earns up to 10%.
  3. Use points before they expire. Set a reminder every year, or spend small balances on cinema snacks or groceries.
  4. Pool points with family. A Family Group turns several small balances into one useful one.
  5. Scan big mall receipts. The rate is low, but on an AED 5,000 sofa it is still 125 points.
  6. Don’t convert for the sake of it. SHARE points are worth the most when spent at Majid Al Futtaim brands.

Is SHARE worth it?

Yes, if you already shop at Carrefour, go to VOX or spend time at Mall of the Emirates or City Centre. It costs nothing to join, points are easy to spend, and a SHARE credit card can push your return to 4% to 8% at those brands. It is less useful if most of your spending happens elsewhere, and conversions to partners rarely beat simply spending your points at Carrefour.
